HAPAX Magazine Talk

So lately I have been in my facilitation bag…of holding.

I was invited by HAPAX Magazine to organise and host a talk in their Living Room space. I am working with fellow Photographer Anselm Ebulue to facilitate a talk with 3 other photographers about community approaches to photographic projects. The details are below.

Questions of Community
13th June 2026

HAPAX welcomes photographers Ryan Prince and Anselm Ebulue to HAPAX Living Room, our West London space dedicated to showing new or experimental forms of lens-based art.

Visitors are invited to this roundtable discussion, which will bring together artists working across community-based documentary practices to reflect on collaboration, participation, authorship and the role of photography within collective and socially engaged projects.

Bringing together different approaches to documentary image-making, the conversation will explore how artists work with communities over time, the ethics and challenges of representation, and the possibilities of creating shared narratives through photography and visual storytelling.

The discussion will feature photographers Ryan Prince, Anselm Ebulue, Hannah Norton, India Mae Alby and Sana Badri.

Location: HAPAX Living Room, 17 Empress Place, London SW6 1TT

13th June, from 3 pm Onwards – Round Table Discussion
Please join us in the Living Room for an evening of conversation around community-based documentary practice, with participating photographers sharing insights into recent and ongoing projects.
